Smart Thermomonitor app for iPhone and iPad

Smart Thermometer is an app provided by iMicroMed (www.imicromed.com) that provides the service of wireless temperature monitoring. It works exclusively with the iMicroMed Smart Thermometer wearable, also called ThermaPatch.

The app uses Bluetooth LE wireless technology to continuously track temperature data form the wearable. Based on thresholds set by the user, the app notifies the app user when the temperature goes out of range.

A typical application of this app would be for tracking the temperature of children or older adults. It can also be used to monitor the health of patients in coma, burn victims and patients that have received chemotherapy treatment.

The app will ideally execute on an iPhone that would be placed in the same room as the patient that is wearing the ThermaPatch wearable.

The app begins by looking for known devices that are transmitting temperature. If a new device is detected, it gives the app’s user the option to pair a new device. See the “New Patch” tab in the app.

When a new device is paired, it automatically shows up in the Readings tab. Accurate, timely temperature can be viewed for this device in the this tab. In this tab, the user may press on the graph icon to see a graph of all available past history. The user has the option to share this graph with anyone using any sharing method available on the user’s phone. The settings tab in this screen allows the user to select between Fahrenheit and Celsius scales, as well as to set the temperature range.

The app allows the user to create and update a Profile. The Profile may be used to set reminders for temperature measurement or for giving medication.
